New H2 Wedges from Bettinardi

Bettinardi is known in the golfing world for making some very, very nice putters. However, what many don't really know is that they have also produced wedges here and there. Now the company is upping their wedge production with the release of the H2 wedge.

According to Bettinaridi, “H2 stands for high helix, which is an aggressive machine tool that cuts the face of each wedge at an extremely rapid rate on a CNC machine... This face milling leaves a unique, USGA-approved milling pattern that provides maximum spin and improved contact”.

The wedges come in five loft/bounce options 52-8, 54-10, 56-12, 58-10, and 60-8, and use a C grind providing additional heel and toe relief. The wedges are available in two different finishes; satin chrome and bronze. The wedges are forged and use the KBS Hi-Rev shaft and the PURE P2 grip. The satin chrome version will retail for $180 while the bronze is $15 more at $195.

Good looking clubs, though the price is a bit steep. With limited options for bounce and grind, I don't see why people wouldn't just buy any other wedge off the rack and save themselves $80 per wedge.
