What was your memorable shot of 2014?

Honestly I can't think of any. In 2013 I made 6 eagles last year zero. With rare exception pretty much every birdie I made was a lucky chip or putt. I guess the most memorable thing from 2014 is pars because more common than any other score. Nice as that is it makes for mundane golf. I remember the bad more than the good anymore.

For some odd reason I was playing the back tees and reached a par 3, 210 (ish) yard hole where the majority of the hole carries over water. I hit a hybrid and stepped on it a little bit and of course, I caught it thin... But it came off the club face dead straight and sizzling about 4 feet off the ground and into the water she goes... but much to my surprise, it was skip - skip - skip - skip and back out of the water, settling in a small patch of fairway about 30 or so yards from the hole. It was quite an entertaining shot watching it skip that many times, gave me a good laugh, and qualifies for my most memorable of the year.

The next most memorable wasn't even a shot that I hit... I was walking up to my approach shot in the left rough when I hear a couple guys scream "FORE" from the tee box on an adjacent hole (facing the opposite direction of my hole). They were a good 200 yards out and luckily I looked up quickly in the direction of their voice. I don't know how I was able to see it so quickly, but I saw their ball screaming directly for me at chest height, I mean, center mass... I had just enough time to lunge to the right as the ball hissed past me, that would have left a serious tattoo had I not heard them.

Mine was an eagle on a 310 yard par four.  I hit a great drive and was about 40 yards to the pin.  I grab my wedge and pitch it in.  One of the best shots of my life. The funny thing was I was randomly paired with three guys visiting from Vietnam - and they only spoke Vietnamese.  Well, they were very, very excited by the shot and were yelling and screaming in Vietnamese.  I couldn't stop laughing at the situation and they couldn't stop talking about it.

Not my best but definitely my most memorable... Par 3 at a new course I was trying out, 178 yards downhill, then uphill steeply, to a green perched on top of a hill. I hit a 5i pin high but right at the bottom of this hill, which was at least 30-40 feet high. I had an okay lie, but couldn't see the flag. I take out my flop wedge, aim in the general direction of the hole, and shoot. I make perfect contact but have no idea where it goes. I get up to the green and find my ball 2 feet from the hole. Made the putt for an unlikely but awesome par.

A shot I remember is somewhat of a unique one. On a 340 yard par four hole, my tee shot landed in a fairway bunker, leaving me with a decent lie, and about 100 yards out, I hit the perfect sand shot for that range and stuck it about two feet away. What was really impressive was the action I put on the ball. With a lower trajectory it landed about 5 yards from the hole, bounced once and checked up immediately. It was like it stopped one a dime sort of thing with the spin I put on it.
