No experience with the XCG5 and honestly haven't owned a hybrid in at least a year. Compared to what I used previously the XCG6 seems great but I have dropped my index 4-5 points since then. I imagine anything TEE is decent. I've had the CU's twice and the XCG6 irons too everything has been good.

Where did you find the CU's that cheap?

Put some KBS C-Taper Lites in the CU's going to put them in action tomorrow I hope. Seems to be a good combo for me judging the 35 balls I hit in the range with PW and 6i. I hated the Dynalite 90, sold the first set I had because of the shafts. Ball was all over the place with those shafts.

Anyway they seller I bought those from has a set of CU's with KBS Tour shafts used but mint, looks like floor model. The starting bid was $107.00.

Were the Dynalite 90 shafts too light feeling? I demoed the CU'S with the Dynalite 90 shafts and KBS Tour shafts, and that's what it felt like to me, the simulator/launch monitor gave me the same feeling, with having more sidespin and inconsistent shots with the Dynalite 90s so I bought a Mint set of CU's with KBS shafts, I like slightly heavier shafts as it is, (my V-Blades have S400 shafts omit the 1-iron)... and I've never played the more "premium" shafts... let's face it I'm a cook... (got a nice tax return however)... @Dave2512 which shafts do you have in your hybrids?

Black Tie made for TEE (stock shafts). Probably will pull those and put something in that produces a higher flight, if I even keep them. I really need a hybrid head for the conditions here but I tend to hook it with hybrids. If I try to adjust all kinds of bad things happen. Hybrids always look closed at setup to me. If I open it just a few degrees I hit a high slice. I am sure it is me. I tend to sweep at the ball with them instead if hitting it like an iron. Just nned to get accustomed to using them again. Yeah the 90 felt loose to me balls were all over the place. I hit a few off the heel. Felt real whippy.

The only light steel shafts I ever played that I liked that didn't feel like you were swinging air were the Apollo Acculite 95 shafts... Too bad True Temper doesn't make the Dynalite 90 shafts in X... Hell the Feather Flight shafts are a better shaft than the Dynalite 90... I'm thinking of getting a D, 3w, 5w combo maybe one hybrid to rotate with the 5w

Dave, You're a 7.5 HDCP, and probably have really good clubhead speed.

On hybrids, make sure you get one with a Tour or a Pro head. These don't have as much offset as the standard heads, and you might be less likely to hook it.

Focus, connect and follow through!
