I recently switched from a old black Scotty Cameron Coronado to a Odyssey 2-ball. The one I picked up is the straight, center shafted version. Someone at my home course had it and I tryed it out for a while and liked the feel.

Now that I've used it for a while, I thought I'd give some feedback. I really like the way the ball rolls of the face of the putter. My Cameron was a bit jumpy and I had to really make a nice smooth stroke to roll the ball correctly. Probably the best thing about this putter is that it is much easer to align on putts...especially short ones. This was the main reason I switched putters. My alignment with my old putter was poor and it feels much better with the 2-ball. I usually pick out a spot I want to roll the ball over about 2 feet in front of my ball and try and roll it over that. Aligning to that spot feels better now.

After using it for a few weeks I've dropped my average putts per round by 1.25. I don't attribute all of this to the putter as I've hit the ball better, but I have not had one three putt in that timeframe as well. I also don't feel like I've missed nearly as many makeable putts and a good deal of 15-25 footers are going in or lipping out.

I never thought I would switch to a mallet-style putter, but the two-ball definitely is worth a try. I'm really pleased with it. I tryed a couple other style putters before purchasint the two-ball, but always came back to it. I don't think it will come out of my bag for a while.

Fairways and Greens.

1.25 putts per round! WOW!

Give the Red X a try. It feels soft without feeling "too soft." I have always thought that the insert in the Odyssey putters was too soft, almost "mushy." I didn't have much feel on longer putts. A lot of people (including Steve Crane) play with 'em, though, Dave and you putt pretty darn well. I would be interested in taking that Coronado off your hands, though...

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

I know, hard to believe. I keep stats religiously.

I did, but thought it was a bit too hard. I like the mushy feel for now. The Red X was nice though.

If its good enough for Steve, its good enough for me. We'll talk about the Coronado.
