Does anyone have any experiences with Black Oxide Services?

I'm thinking of sending my old Scotty Cameron Classic Laguna to get re-finished to their III Black .

I havent personally had the service done, but you can have it restored by scotty cameron. If you check out the blog on scotty cameron.com there are some pictures of a TEL3 being put through the black oxide process and It looks like new when done. Nice stick BTW.

Does anyone have any experiences with Black Oxide Services?

I've heard that plating stainless steel putters with black oxide WILL result in them becoming chalky and quite ugly.
