Although I've already purchased them online, (still waiting for them) I was wondering if people think they live up to the hype. All of the reviews I've read are generally very positive. I bought (last gen) Lunar Control 2's for what I thought was a good price at $66. Here's the pair I bought:

My brother has them. I don't know about any hype, but he's not had any issues. They look kinda cheap personally, being a bit bulky for my tastes. Just the way the front part goes into the laces section at a high angle instead of being a bit flatter makes it look huge and rounded instead of my sleek, which is my preference. He got them free from a Nike guy so no complaints haha. But they haven't leaked, grip fine, and wear comfortably, which is all you need.

To each their own, but I think they look great. Bulky? Maybe it's just the way the pic is, but I think they look sorta like a regular sneaker, which is what I wanted. I guess that's why they make so many different kinds, as to please everyone.

No, I meant in real life. They look fine in the picture, but when you hold it, it's very rounded over the top of the foot. I didn't mean to disparage your purchase; I think it's a good shoe for the price. I just meant that that feature struck me as unusual when I saw it in person and detracted from my impression of it.

That may be true, but they are also much more expensive. The second gens are good enough for me, and cheap. (I have a limited income)

I bought some second hand ones on eBay, they were still in good condition and have been the most comfortable golf shoes I've had, best £30 I ever spent

Very popular shoe in uk! I know a few people who have and like them! Not for me though, I prefer a spikless sneaker for summer and a cleated leather shoe for winter!

I bought two pair. I've always used FootJoy, but the Nikes are as comfortable as any shoe I've ever worn. Enjoy.

Havent tried these particular shoes but I will say that I have gotten an average of 3 years out of each pair of Foot Joys I have owned (play year round) and less than a year on any Nike pair I have bought.

That being said, I just picked up a pair of Nike spikeless and they are comfortable as hell, now to see how long they last.

I bought a pair in red/black a few hours ago at my local PGA SuperStore. Paid $79 though (after $20 coupon). Matches my Nike Air Sport Lite bag.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
