What do you feel in your arms and wrists

I'm trying to get a better feel for a proper swing.  Like many people, I have trouble with an outside to in swing and the subsequent slice. I have a few questions that I hope can help me get a better feel for a decent swing. In this post, I'm mostly interested in the upper body, not the leg and hip action.

What do you feel in your arms and wrists when you swing?

Do you feel like your upper arms are against your torso during the swing? Do your arms and torso move as one with the body moving the arms, rather than the arms actually swinging independently?

What do you feel in your wrists. Do you keep them loose and passive and let centrifugal force "uncock" them? Ho do you feel "wrist lag" during your swing?

Do you have any swing thoughts that help you with these?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Tense= bad shot.

Loose= good shot.

I tend to try to relax my wrists and arms as much as possible after the transition. It feels like a whipping motion on good shots. There is a transfer of energy from the legs turning the hips and the upper body kind of turns around the spine and the arms whip around the body and the club whips around the wrist "pivot". Like a double pendulum. If that makes sense. . .The main trick for me is keeping my lead arm as straight as possible without putting any negative tension on the whipping motion (one of my many priorities).

Other than a little discomfort every once in a while, (due to a  few bone/joint repairs) the only other thing I notice is my hands leading the club head into impacting the ball. Sometimes I don't even feel/notice that. Once I start down from the top, after a successful one piece take away, I am on auto pilot. What ever happens, happens.  When I am using a metal wood, I couldn't tell you what I feel, and/or notice on the down swing.

As for a swing thought it's sometimes just thinking  "dollar bills" just to reinforce my swing rhythm. Stole that one from the movie "Tin Cup". .

There's a good thread on here about grip pressure and the like. I'd link to it but I'm on my phone. Not sure if thread'll answer your question but that's a good place to start.
