I have been reading posts and advice from TST for a while now and decided to finally join the other day. You guys have a great community and am glad to be a part of it! I am 24 and I started playing golf for the first time 3 years ago for fun with my college roommates but have just started to really work on my game a couple months ago. Most guys I play with shoot mid 80s or so, and have been playing for a while. Right now I shoot a consistent 98-106, some days if I am finding water it might be a little higher with drops.

I have a 4 year old Tight Lies set by Adams, 6i-sw, 5h, 5w, and 3w with the Adams driver. I really feel like I need a 4-5i in the bag. I can't hit my woods or driver to save my life. I do not spend a bunch of time practicing that though as I have not found an effective method to practice that has improved my contact. 90% of my drives are slices.

I just graduated college and am a 7th grade teacher, so taking lessons from a pro is out of the question now. You guys will be my pro  I became a member at a little par 3 course by us for $29 a month and have found that playing there over the past 2 months has caused my iron game to improve significantly but man do I need work off the tee box. I hope over the summer I can join the bogey golfers club and break 90.

Welcome to TST. Suggest you start a swing thread and get some great help/advice. Congrats on the teaching job. Teachers do so much, with little reward.
