Just to play devils advocate for a moment (and potentially get the conspiracy theorists excited!) but what if Bin Laden isnt actually dead?

Not the first time I've heard this offered, but to add to the possibility of it being true, explore this;----------He's worthless dead but if alive, could be a fountain of information

Hate crowned cups.

Very interesting.  He talks about the attack of the media and almost everyone against seymour hersh and how little has been put in to verify or try to track some of the underlining things mentioned in the story.

He also talks about the discrediting of seymour and how this isn't the first time, and mentions 2 of the major stories broken by seymour and how he was ridiculed while the stories turned out true later on.

thats odd ... Why would it be up to everybody else to try and prove his story accurate. Isn't that his job??

Did you read the story? I might have summarized what I understood.

You're a smart guy ... I trusted that you summarized it well. ;)

:). Yeah my intent wasn't that he wanted people to prove him right, but he just discusses the reaction of the media to the story.. He mentioned a lot of things I didn't know and referenced a lot of other intestine stuff as well.

Hmm, conflicting articles.

O'Neill is a "former" SEAL and has no restrictions on what he may want to say about it. I have followed Seymour Hersh for years and respect his journalism but I just think his sources on this one are real sketchy, besides the fact that the rationale is totally flawed from the Pakistani perspective.

I would think that it is the obligation of those claiming his story is not accurate to find and publish things that demonstrate that.  The media wasn't supposed to prove that Brian Williams' stories were accurate, it was their job to check out what he said to see if it WAS accurate.  If someone in media claims that Hersch's story is inaccurate you search out the facts and see if they contradict the account.  That is how it happened with Brian Williams, George Steph . . los, The UVA/Rolling Stomes deal and many many more.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

    • 3 rainouts in a row….that’s SAD Sorry, I’m in MI or I would take you up on a round.
    • Day 3:  I tried to hit a bucket at the range but an 80 year old man (he told me his age, showed me his knee replacement scars, told me all about his chronic low back pain, etc) couldn’t pass up the opportunity to mansplain to me every little thing I’m doing wrong.  Dude, it’s my third frickin day.  I know I need to twist my hips more, I know I need to keep my head/chest down and not pop up, I know I need to hit through the ball and follow through further, yada yada yada.  I know.  That’s exactly what I’m trying to work on.  How about you tell me or show me how to do those things instead of telling me to watch Iron Byron videos?  Rough day.
    • Day 132: 5/7/24 Full Speed Spectrum Training session 8/24. 7th training program overall.    Another slow session but 4 mph faster than my last session, which was my slowest ever. Going to the doctor on Friday to check on pulled neck muscle.
    • Day 26: Did full swing practice after work. First 15 balls were working on top of the backswing feel, and then tried to incorporate transition feel into the next 15 balls. A's, although this will be my last season of being a fan as they leave for Las Vegas (by way of Sacramento for a few seasons). Hard to see myself rooting for the Giants, but if that's the only MLB in the Bay Area, I guess I might get on board.
    • My two cents? Don't. As a beginner that's interested in learning about the golf swing, you'll find yourself consuming a lot of information, most of which isn't even relevant to your own swing. You need to learn you can't think your way to a good golf swing. Focus on the one thing that you're working on and doing that on every swing, come what may. And remember, mishits happen.
