I thought I would mention this deal from Underpar.com to anyone that plays or will be visiting the Coachella Valley area. SilverRock is a beautiful course. I would compare it favorably to PGA West - just as picturesque but not quite so punitive.

I bought a ticket - at $55 per person with a free replay included, it really is a good deal if you don't mind braving the desert heat.

I bought one ticket for my father and I. @Shindig , I know you were mentioning some plans to play golf in the desert this summer - this is a deal I would be sure to check out.

Hmm... my usual desert golf accomplice probably won't be up for playing more than 18, although the course looks very playable otherwise, so I might want to partner with someone else. @tristanhilton85 -- any chance you'd be interested in spending a day there at some point this summer?

I can if it's a Monday or a Friday. I deliberately planned my summer schedule to have a good number of four day weekends.

      Day 82: mirror work again tonight. Working on the same shoulder down and roll and twist stuff. Going on vacation tomorrow and putting the clubs down, so new streak starts in about 10 days!

      Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)

      Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry

      You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
