In Denver I could get on easily. I would hit Driver 8 iron.

Uh-huh...

I sincerely hope that is supposed to be sarcastic...

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Some of you guys have to be kidding, either that or you're sandbagging your handicap or you're the worst chippers and putters who ever lived.

20+ handicap, "I get there in 2"????

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuure ya do...

Five percent of golfers are on there in two more than 25% of the time, no more. No way, no how.

Some of you guys have to be kidding, either that or you're sandbagging your handicap or you're the worst chippers and putters who ever lived.

So far this poll is showing that 19% of the respondents say they can be on the green after 2 shots and most of those have a condition..."with well struck shots".

It's not as inflated as some of you are thinking. The question was only asking where we would be on a flat no/wind par 5 540 yard hole after our second shot. It's not asking how often we wind up being where we say we do. If so, we could argue that the people voting for any of the other distances may only be getting there 50% of the time. The whole spirit of the question is about your long game, so assume it's a hole you can safely go for. Now, the real men say "on the green". As for the rest of you... (I hope you know...I am just KIDDING!!!

Pretend your on a par 5 540 yards to pin.

Wow, 540!!

Lately, I've been playing more conservatively attempting to get about 200-220. So my second shot is my fairway wood in the above scenario. But on a par 5, I may let 'er rip and try to get 250+

Scratch to low handicap can more than always get it there on two . But for those who should know better it would be to their advantage to get there on 3 and be assured of a high percentage of making a birdie putt .

I'd be willing to bet that out of the 19 guys who claim they'll get on the green, 1-2 actually would.

Is there a thread for fishing stories around here?

As the 100th voter in this poll, I have the right to some analysis. Freakin' 78% of golfers here need just a wedge a putter after two. I find that very believable. Me..8 iron most likely. How many can actually cream a three wood?.
