Hey everyone, I'm Rob, I'm 26, (that's weird to say I was 25 last week) from South Jersey. Typically play Pitman as it's around the corner, and have been playing a lot at Rock Manor in Wilmington DE with my company I work for. I've been golfing for a little under 2 years now. I found this site after posting on a hockey forum about my swing and one of the posters there directed me here. I come looking for any help and advice I can get and it seems like there's a whole ton of information here to look through. I'm excited I was looking for something like this since about the Spring of this year as I've really committed to getting better at the game and have been trying to find an online resource to use. I took lessons when I first started but for the most part I feel like I've taught myself most of what I do.

Anyway thank you all for taking the time to read and possibly reply,

-Rob

    • I don't follow the LIV tour so for starters somebody would have to tell me that they are coming. Even if tickets were free I probably wouldn't go. I'm just not interested.  I've been to a fair amount of PGA Tour Tournaments in my life. I've even attended two US Opens... One men's, and one women's. I've been to college and high school tournaments as well.  I'd actually be more interested in attending a Korn Ferry Tournament or an Epson Tour Tournament. Which reminds me the Nationwide Chlidren's Hospital Championship in September is right down the street. I should get tickets.
    • LIV golf was pretty close to me in 2023, at the same course that hosted the 2023 Senior PGA.  I didn't go to either one.  I do know a few people who went to the LIV event, and they said it was pretty well attended and pretty well run.  If I had free tickets, I might show up, but I'd probably have to drive 10 miles to park to get a shuttle to come back to within 5 miles of my house.
    • As long as "in town" means a drive of less than an hour, I'd probably go.  I've never actually been to a pro golf event, so it would be a novelty. Presumably, they'd be playing on a course that I'm not normally allowed to visit, so there would be an interest in just going to see the place. My tolerance for traffic is pretty minimal, so if massive headaches are predicted it would dampen my enthusiasm.
    • I would definitely buy tickets and go watch a round or two.
