I'm curious to know which club manufacturers produce clubs with the best resale value and also which manufacturers have the fewest new product launches.

My guesses would be Titleist, Ping and Mizuno but I'm sure others will have a better idea than me. The worst maybe Taylormade and Callaway?

The reason I ask is that I'm looking at replacing my second hand Wilson Staff set that has seen me through my first few years of learning the game. Ultimately the clubs I get will be determined by what performs the best, but if it were to come down to splitting hairs I'd obviously rather buy the clubs that are going to hold their value and that won't feel out of date within a few months. Thanks.

Not sure any club really retains value, maybe Honma?

The real value is in how they perform.

Are you talking game improving clubs, CB's, blades, or just brands in general? Took me about one year to buy my last set of irons (left handed). Norrowed down to Titliest AP 2 and TM Rocketblabez Tour. The Titliest had the highest resale value when I was searching based on condition and how many clubs inn the set. I actually sold my TM used set for more than trade in value so that was a plus. My Rocketbladez aren't holding the value of the AP's and have since been discontinued as a set from TM.

Pings retain a lot of value, just look at all of the Eye2 sets still selling well on ebay. The OP is pretty spot on in his initial assessment of the major manufacturers. The release cycle of the company is a big factor in how their models retain value.

I'd say Titleist, Ping and Mizuno because they have longer product life cycles and they don't discount their clubs.
