Who did you pick first Forte or Lynch?

Lynch was my first pick (#3 in the first round), then Forte (#8 in the second round).

Nice, I'm surprised Forte was still around then.  I'd have expected better WR's in a 10 team draft but they have upside.  I had drafted Allen on two of my teams last year and he was a huge disappointment, but hopefully that was just a sophomore slump.

A lot of the elite WRs went in the first two rounds.  There were a few left, but I over-thought it on some of them because although they're good receivers, they don't have a QB to throw to them (Mike Evans/TB, Deandre Hopkins/HOU, Brandon Marshall/NYJ, etc.).  We're not a PPR league, so 5-yard dink passes into the flat don't do me much good, lol.

Emmanuel Sanders was still available in the third round (and Peyton was available as a QB too), but I got burned by them in the second half of last season when Denver changed their offensive scheme and handcuffed Manning.  Kubiak scared me away because he's more of a "ground and pound" kind of coach and I don't think Peyton will be throwing near as much this year as he has in the past - and with DeMaryius still there, he'll probably get the majority of looks anyway.

Hey Guys.. i am stuck on a trade request. Keeper League

M. Floyd WR AZ
J. Nelson WR GB

For

TY Hinton WR IN

I would be receiving the top 2.

I know nelson is out for the year but this is a keeper league and he was drafter in the 16th round. My team is bad this year and I know I am not going to win.

Thoughts?

Don't do this. It makes no sense. T.Y. Hilton is a more valuable keeper anyway at this point in their careers. Don't panic about T.Y.'s performance in week one. It was a very bad matchup.

I agree with Duff, you have no idea how Nelson will recover and Floyd is one of 3 receivers that will fight for receptions in a run heavy offense.  I'd keep Hilton and pick up John Brown from Arizona if he's still available, he's likely the guy who will be # 1 by the end of the season in Arizona.

I agree but what do you mean by run heavy offense? Did you mean pass heavy?

Run heavy was a bit of a stretch but they are definitely more balanced than other teams.

The Cardinals WR's are not going to get the targets that Green Bay or New Orleans receivers get.  Last year Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown led the team with 103 targets each, compared to Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb who had 151 and 126 respectively or Ty Hilton who had 130 targets.

I think you may be the first person ever to call a Bruce Arians offense a run heavy offense lol. I am 100% saying this with a smile on my face and not insulting at all. The only reason I am saying this is to avoid another situation where maybe my words aren't as obviously joking as I thought.

I am just going by the stats last week and from last season.   They ranked 15th out of 32 teams in terms of pass attempts and 14th in net passing yards so you're correct the bias is pass over run but in terms of fantasy stats their WR's aren't the guys I look to draft in the top rounds.

Yeah Arians' system seems to spread the ball around. I couldn't believe how little they threw to Fitz last year

Agree, I drafted Brown this year in the 12th round and actually have to start him this week because I lost Dez Bryant and DeSean Jackson on one team last week.

Sorry about Dez. This post reminds me off a kick ass trade I just pulled off this week. I drafted Terrance Williams in like the 14th round so he is sitting there on my bench. Anyway, I randomly had an idea to approach the owner of Dez Bryant and search for a breakout player (potential) that I wanted from the draft but didn't get and then make a trade. Well, I saw Amari Cooper sitting there and, because he had a bad first week, I thought he might bite. He said yes and now I have traded a 14th round guy for a 5thround guy who had one bad game but is slotted to break 1,000 yards and like 8 TD's. Obviously Williams could blow up and Cooper disappoint, but at this moment I'm really excited about that trade.

It was a good trade for you, Williams will do okay for as long as Dez is hurt but you have the #1 WR on the Raiders who were #4 in pass attempts last year.

Thanks. I also don't believe Williams is going to really do that well in that I think they will just spread the ball around more. I could be wrong, but I love the trade right now

Forsett vs Oakland Or Abdullah vs Minnesota? PPR format.

M Honestly a lot of analysts would say "both" unless you are in a 10 man league maybe.... It's looks like a toss up to me. You saw what a RB can do against MN last week.
