ping eye 2 irons

i found a set of ping eye 2 irons (3-SW orange dot) for $115 and was wondering if that was a good price for those. if i got them i might re grip them depending on grip quality and how grippy they are.

Per the PGA.com value guide, they are worth around $55. But that is usually lower than many sets will sell for.

If you check e-bay, you will get a better idea of current market value. Try to search for as similar a set as possible.

that seems to be the going rate at the play it again sports i go too. they have 4 sets currently all at $110. One cooper set at $235.

But is orange dot a proper fit for you? A good price isn't relevant if the lie angle isn't right for you. Orange dot is 2 degrees flat I believe and I believe lie angles were generally a degree or so flatter 30 years ago than they are today so it could be very flat compared to what you're currently using.

Just last night I was comparing the orange and the black dot ping eye 2 SW and the orange dot was quite a bit flatter then the black dot. I believe the black dot is standard lie.

My first set of golf clubs are the Ping Eye 2 Beryllium copper that I still own.
