So this American tourist lady was driving down the Autobahn. she sees this Mercedes pull over to the side of the road. so she slows down. Just as she slows down to pass the car she see that a man man taking a leek in the ditch. She yells out the window "thats gross" And the man yells back "thank you!"

Whats the moral of the story?
Gross means "HUGE" in German

No German whiz here, but I did take some in High school. Most likely it would be Das ist gross ("That is huge"), but perhaps someone who actually knows what he's talking about come in and figure it out.

You know, the Volkswagen, when first built back in the 30's, well, Hitler kept calling them "KdF-Wagens", Kraft durch Freude (Strength through Joy? I think), but people called 'em Kotz durchs Fenster - Vomit through the Window.
