Hi my name is Julien and I actually live in Canada, more partucularly near Montreal. I'm french but I am quite good in english. I am 15 year-old now and I'm an addict of golf. Recently, I met my golf pro. and start changing my swing. I'll eventually post a little video showing my swing. The snow is almost here in quebec so it's tough to practice a lot, but after school I go on the range and swing some balls, but at 5 o'clock, the sun is gone so... anyways, I think I'm a good golfer but I need a lot more practice and a lot more experience. My best game ever is a solid +1 (73) and my handicap is 8.5 but I am in constent progress. I'm lefty, I have a... 5 yards draw, I think that I'm a long hitter, well, fore my age, and my weight! ( 117 pounds ) I think that's it, if you have any questions, don't be shy, I'll answer you honestly!

Cheers, Julien

Bonjour

I live on Vancouver Island, but am a huge Habs fan!!!! I was a young kid in the 70's when Lafluer etc were winning all those Cups. Do you get out to the Bell Centre for any games?

Yes I've gone to the Bell center a couple of times, and, I'm sure about this, it's the best place to have fun and scream in a hockey game. Everybody is screaming and yelling. But unfortunately the players don't wan't ( well the majority) to come play in Montreal because of the fans... '' We expect to much from them''

cheers, Julien

Unfortunetly, I never played across the border... My parents aren't golf players so I do not go play golf in the US. Yes I played the Owl's head course in a Junior tour Competition, I wasn't playing good, my swing wasn't at its best... anyways, when its hot in here, golf is nice, well, like everywhere else!

Cheers, Julien

    • Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.
    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
