Masters:  Jordan Spieth defends!

U.S. Open:  Angel Cabrera - because he's an annoying a-hole. :-P

British Open:  Jason Day - because he's awesome.

PGA Championship:  Rickie Fowler - Because that's where all of the people who take a little time to win their first major seem to start

Masters: Jordan Spieth.  This may be my default Augusta pick for the next decade.

U.S. Open: Jason Day.  Oakmont has arguably the most impressive list of winners of any multi-time major venue, as it takes a great to master this beast.  As such, I'll predict another of the big three to win it.

British Open: Todd Hamilton repeat!....well, I won't make that big a leap, but I'll still stretch a bit to predict Lee Westwood finally nabs his major.

PGA Championship: Louis Oosthuizen, I just have a feeling he'll rise up and finally grab another major.

Bonus predictions: Phil Mickelson will record another second-place finish in a major this year.

Haha, well, at least I got my bonus prediction correct!  (And Spieth should've won the Masters had he not lost his mind for two holes.)

Lots of missed picks here, as you might expect since almost everyone had Spieth, Day, McIlroy grabbing at least a couple of the four.  But, kudos to...

Thrash13 for predicting Johnson at the US Open

Partial credit to...
* Pendragon for picking WIllett to win a major, though it was the British and not the Masters
* Saevel25 picked DJ to win the British, not the US Open.
* TheBogeyMan and Wally Fairway each picked Johnson and Stenson to win 'a' major, not specifying which.

    • Day 292: light day today. Mirror work, working on getting my hips more open in the downswing.
    • Day 135 (27 Apr 24) - played Bradford Creek today while waiting for the missus fly in from her extended visit with the grands.  Good day to stay focused as it was a hurry up (groups pressing from behind) and wait (groups taking their time ahead)…a good day to stay mentally in the game - play the shot and not get frustrated in the waiting…
    • Day 122: 4/27/24 Supposed to be a Stack training day but I was beat after yard work today. Practiced chipping and putting at The Creek. The practice green is pretty slow but the session went well.
    • Went to the range today and was cursing myself when I got there as I realized I forgot my phone. I added an earlier wrist hinge to the short backswing I was using last time practicing and ball strikes were really good for the most part. I'm heading back to Boston Thursday to see friends and family and have a couple of rounds planned so I'm hoping to keep this feeling.  Yesterday morning I weighed in at 232. My goal had been 230 but maybe now it's 220. I'll have to think about that. I feel so much better without the extra 90 lbs. from 2 years ago. Still a softl slightly less protruding belly so it might be time to go hard on eating better. Work in progress.
    • Day 7- Went to the range and hit a bucket. Also did some chipping and putting.
