Hi there, My name is Paul but everybody calls me Booney.  I just came across this forum today and wanted to ask some questions but also become a regular.  I do not have a deadset yet for a club membership but I like to think I am starting to become a regularly player.  My PM is always open for anybody who would like to talk and maybe if you are from the Kansas City area we could possibly play sometime.  Anyways I look foreward from hearing from some of you and we all can meet on the 19th hole.

Welcome to the forum.  I've only played in KC twice (Swope Memorial and Royal Meadows).  Maybe make it up there again some time.

Swope is cool, never played royals but if you come up I highly suggest Ironhorse, Tiffany Springs, Shoal Creek, and Staley Farms m.  Those can be a bit pricey so Drumm Farm and River Oaks is nice too.

      Day 197 (15 Nov 24) - Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management.  Solid round of 83 (41/42) - 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.

      Have been on a mid to low 80’s roll of late - today was no different with an 83 (41 front / 42 back).   Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management, delivering 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.  Local course starting to get that winter feel - wet areas wetter, thin grass thinner, greens  trickier.
