I've never played a green as diabolical as the one you've described, but I'd love to give it a go. That sounds like an 8 iron shot as I'd likely not be able to land it anywhere but the front. Most of my well-struck shots are very high and land with little roll. So I think I'd have a chance. Of course, it's easier for me to make that claim while sitting at a keyboard than it would be standing over a ball.

I'm using the draw as my main shape, so I would try to land at right-front edge and bounce on.

An overcooked, aggressive draw might run over the left edge a looooooong way.

I've seen greens like this - it's usually a case of the green area settling out funny once the course began to mature. The greens crew can come in and sculpt a counter-roll of some sort to keep the ball from running away.
