Is there anyone else that still plays with Nike slingshot irons? I just picked back up the game again after over 10 years of not playing. I have not had these on the course yet but at the range they have been awesome. Love the feel of them and they seem to be consistent. Just wondered what you guys thought of them

More time on the range today with the slingshots and I am more then happy, anyone that does have a chance to try these....just do it! Lol....(no pun intended) they are deadly in my hands. They put the ball where I'm looking and I have never had a set play like that?

I would rather have something that performs well.
In my experience good looking clubs are for show, Fugly clubs dont worry about how they look, they just work hard to perform well!

And I admit, I didn't really care for the looks of the slingshots at first either. But after hitting them.....well,  still not real pretty but you couldn't pry them out of my hands now

That's a terrible analogy, who said pretty clubs can't perform? Anyway, the real point I was trying to get around to before humor got the better of me was that you are in what we call the honeymoon phase. Just don't be surprised when you're posting a swing video in two months wondering why you're hitting them all out on the toe. They aren't magic wands.

I never did say they were magic, and I didn't say a pretty club can't perform. Anyway, I'm happy and that's what matters . Maybe if you didn't make all of your purchases based on looks you might understand. But thanks for all your input

      A bit of a struggle today.  Just some thoughts/musings.  For the backswing, it is like I am never going to be moving on from this. I don't know if I can ever get to the point where the backswing isn't like over 1.5 seconds in duration. Which is probably not ideal. I would like to get to the point where I can just fling the arms back and up.  I have to feel like my hands are going to hit my right thigh from P1 to P2. If not then they like to move 2-5 inches towards the ball from P1 to P2. Then it's just bad from there. This feeling is my hands not gaining much depth, just maintaining depth from set up. From the DTL view, the hands head towards the camera.  While I am doing that, hinge the crap out of the club with my wrist only. Hinge in a way that the club is pointing at the camera at P2.  From P2, lift the hands straight up. I can get here, and still roll the club inside and get it way too shallow.  With the downswing. There isn't much here. I still can't get the flow of this or the sequencing of this to line up. It doesn't help that hinging from P1 to P2 just throws off my entire timing as well.
