Sure, you can have your own opinion. That doesn't mean it is right. If you can't handle constructive criticism  then you have the right to keep your opinions to yourself.

I'm saying it is right, but apparently you guys are a bunch pf physics graduates and are laughing at the fact I'm using terms incorrectly. Anyway I say I'm done talking about this, but will stick to my guns and say i'm right.

Oh really your not impressed by top 50 or top 10 instructors out of the many thousands out there what a nonsensical statement.

You can say gravity doesn't exist, the sky is green, Higgs Bosons look like marshmallows all you want. It would still be wrong as is your "opinion" of the mush you post.

Plus you still have not responded to either @Pretzel or Erik's questions. You are in denial.

And here I thought I might be able to put my popcorn down and do something productive... it's just too good though!

The problem you are having is that you are unable to evaluate information independently of who is saying it.

I think Don Peterson explained it perfectly he is a top 50 instructor 100% credible works with tour pros is saying exactly what iv'e been saying all along. I don't need to reply the 3 questions it falls into the into the argument for the sake of it syndrome.

Just like this it doesn't have any relevance to anything i'm talking about at all. In a court room it would ''objection'' relevance and sustained on my part

You quoted incorrectly. It is really easy. You push the quote button then type outside the box.

You also have yet to respond to either Erik or @Pretzel. Peterson does not have a degree in either physics or engineering and is incorrect. It is the same as you. They learn a cute new term and use it to sound smart to the unsuspecting. But it backfires when people who actually know the subject counter them.

Forget the term then centripetal, centrifugal who cares! You guys are way to self righteous and close minded and have made me out to look like a fool when I was simply trying to share an idea. I tried to explain that with the stuff iv'e learned on this site has helped a ton and in unison with what I discovered on the range could help. I don't think Don Peterson is not incorrect at all. Imagine this Boogie make your perfect golf swing and hold on to the club as tight as you can and attempt to complete a swing. the results will be that you can't because the golf swing is a motion not static keys or steps.

So we should forget about the terms that you claimed provided the sustenance of your argument? Where is your argument's sustenance now? What lends it credibility? Sell me on it - why should I believe you?

I think your over analyzing it. The golf swing is very technical in terms of swing plane, address the grip, ball position alignment etc.. Go ahead an scrutinize there because the rest of what i'm describing is the result of doing those things correctly. We can go on for hours on those technical aspects but the downswing doesn't work that way because it's moving so fast. My point here is most players tend to think of technical variations in that aspect of the swing when in reality there really isn't much.

You could be sold on in by remembering when you have hit your best shots and would probably realize that you didn't force much and it just occurred you then asked yourself why can't I do that everytime?. I played yesterday had a 235 par 3 very hard shot I made a good swing but tightened up a bit on the downswing and yanked it left. If I just let it go I would gave hit the green.

''So we should forget about the trends that you claimed provided the sustenance of your argument?''

Answer is no your just using a play on words to further try tor make my point irrelevant without substance.

I think you're under-analyzing it by claiming centripetal force is key. Centripetal force keeps the club in your hand, it doesn't generate clubhead speed.

I think you made your point irrelevant from the start, but that's besides the point.

I would much appreciate it if you could answer my 3 questions with proper explanations, rather than trying to "make my point irrelevant without substance".

  • Could you please explain to me what you are using centripetal forces to accomplish in the golf swing, and specifically how they are accomplishing what you desire?
  • How do you know what each portion of the body contributes to the golf swing, in terms of swing speed, and do you have data to support your statements or did you merely create numbers that suited your fancy?
  • Why is it off topic for us to question the supporting evidence for your argument?

1. I believe the hips and upper torso turn act as the source of creating the untapped force on the backswing.

2. I believe the bigger your turn and more tourqe you can create potentially. this allows you to have a faster axis on the downswing for more force without as much timing element.

3. It wen't off topic because I was simply trying to talk about the downswing with some picture descriptions to better get the idea not get in to data, Not that so much the mathematical physics of it all in numbers.

    • As a supporter of the European team even though I chose to live in the US, this is kind of good news. I'm pretty close to Bethpage, but won't be going at these prices. Neither will the crazy drunk NY sports fans who would have made this a very difficult place to play as a Euro. The tickets will go to the city types who are entertaining clients and don't care about the money. Many of them are going to sit there and watch, not get all raucous. I am not dumb enough to believe that this is going to be like a Sunday afternoon stroll in the park for the Euros, but I think it will be significantly more subdued as a result of the prices. Even at $250 I would probably have been watching on the TV anyway so no real skin in the game.
