“His caddy cheats for him.”

This seems to happen everywhere there are caddies. The bigger the tips, the better the score. :-D

“Oh yes, several times. Several times,” said Anderson. “I mis-hit a ball — it hooked a little left about 20 yards. Trump hit the exact same shot but went 20 yards further left than mine. I could not find my ball in this trash. Trump’s ball had the fluffiest lie in the middle of the fairway. Like I say, I didn’t see Trump cheat because he was on the t-box with me, but his ball was right there in the middle of the fairway.”

One of his caddies stated:

Jonathan Carr spent the 2007 and 2008 golf seasons caddying at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. He remembers a gregarious club owner who treated the caddies with the utmost respect, a man who, despite lacking a “pristine” golf swing, played with a high level of skill and an even higher level of confidence. Carr never saw Trump come close to bending the rules, although he said everyone who caddied there had heard of that reputation.

Pretty conclusive, I would say. . .

Too bad those "single-digit" handicaps who show up at pro-ams don't bring their home caddies with them to Pebble Beach.

IDK about in America, but in China it happens without any incident because everyone does it.

It's not unusual for two businessmen who play once or twice a month break 90 on a course and from the tees the pros play. They end up playing for like 1000USD a skin or stroke and come up roughly even. The usual packets of RMB are exchanged accordingly. Unless, they are paying someone or whatever, then they lose by the agreed upon amount. :-D

This is the latest one today:

According to De La Hoya, Trump’s first shot landed in the water. The next went out of play. The third sliced back into the water. And the fourth was lost to the surrounding bushes.

But the next thing the group knew, Trump was standing over a ball in prime location.

“Donald, what he does is he tees off first so we go off to our balls, and what do we see but Donald Trump right in the middle of the fairway,” De La Hoya explained. “He said, ‘Hey, look, I found my first ball.’”

“We’re like, ‘OK, yeah.’ We’re cracking up, [but] not in front of his face,” he said.

And on the game went. On the next hole, history seemed to repeat itself, as a ball that Trump hit into the bushes showed up right in the heart of the course, just about three feet from the hole.

“‘And by the way, I’m picking it up,’” De La Hoya remembered The Donald declaring. “‘It’s a gimme.’”

Thing is, most everyone who has played with Donald says he cheats. But they mostly also say he's a great guy.

But Reilly noted something else about playing with Trump that is echoed by others who have golfed with him: He had an amazing time. Trump played with confidence and bravado, he tipped the caddies, he gave great pointers that helped his comrades with problem swings. So what if he cheats? The guy is a lot of fun!

. . .

But perhaps even this attack could backfire. The only other person that Reilly remembers cheating as much as Trump? None other than Bill Clinton.

Maybe Trump’s cheating is his most presidential move yet.

Trump's cheating is nothing compared to Kim Jong il.   In his 1st ever golf outing, Kim had more hole in ones than the course has par 3 holes.   Now, that's cheating.

If Trump becomes POTUS, he will use an executive order to mandate that any putt within 5ft will be a gimmie and not count as a stroke!

My kind of president. Don't forget about presidential pardons for gimme chips as well***. ;-)

***With that, I predict a lot more scores in the 50s. . .

It has actually come down to this.. I cant believe they are out of material already. We have one candidate who keeps her own server to hide emails from FOYA requests and for secret deals with her foundation as well as secret deals for donations from countries she dealt with as Sec of state and someone who someone said cheats in golf...

Well, they have nothing to really grasp at. What else are they going to say, that he is a "loose cannon" who could disrupt 50 years of legalized government corruption? :-D

    • A study done by the European Tour shows spending less time over the ball produces better shots.  This makes sense. I can see where if you are over the ball a long time you lose the ability to make a more athletic swing. There is also the possibility of just overthinking the shot while over the wall as well and not being in the right headspace.
    • I recently picked up a vintage Ping Hoofer Lite carry bag.  I am not sure how old it is but estimate it is probably from around 2012 or so? I cannot figure out how to adjust the straps! I am going to try to attach a picture of the bag and will also describe it below. I cannot figure out how to adjust the straps in a way that makes the bag comfortable to carry.  The bag also seems to want to be more upright/ vertical than how you would normally carry a bag like this. I have tried to search this site and others on the web but almost all info is on the newer ping Hoofer bags which have quite a different design. The bag is pretty minimal in terms of pockets and has no handle on the top.  It has 2 backpack straps that are not connected to each other.  They are connected to the top of the bag and in the middle of the bag above the primary ball/ gear pocket. Any feedback appreciated, thanks for your help!
