Preference - Good Score or Tough Score?

  1. 1. Do you have a preference in which type of score you get, all other things being equal?

    • I would take the lower score on the somewhat less difficult course
    • I would take the tougher course's score even though it is higher
    • No preference
    • Something else - please explain

I just want a lower score. Who cares if the course is "easier". At my level they're not that much easier.

Bingo!!!  Anything under 80 is discussion material.  82 is fine, I would be happy with it, but it just doesn't roll off the tongue as smoothly as 77.

I am a lucky guy and want to have it both ways. My new home course is a par 70, 6600y 71.8/130

So I will go for a sub 80 round, beating my index by 2 or more.

I'm another one who looks primarily at differential.  If I play well, and my net is around the course rating, or better, I'm pretty pleased.  What I like best is to play well in competition.
