I'm looking to buy a used set of max improvement irons. I'm not interested in trying to be a better golfer per say. I'm content being a weekend hacker. I'm looking for the most forgiving irons that I can find for a  price of around $200-$300. Unless the newer irons are leaps and bounds more forgiving then the older clubs in which case I would consider paying more. The  fusion wide soles and the diablos seem to fit the bill of an inexpensive super forgiving iron.  But I'm not sure which is better.  Or if there are better options out there, although I would prefer to stick with callaway's if possible.thanks

According to old reviews, both models were designed to help the average golfer get the ball up. Which is better? You would have to try them out and see which worked best. Both had several shaft options; will available shafts fit your swing?

Any particular reason why you settled on these two (...Fusion is 11 years old). I follow Callaway closely; I know these two exist, but that's about it.

I play the Diablo edge irons.

Pros for me:

- easy to hit

- nice and high ballflight

- very forgiving for off-center shots

 Cons:

- trouble lining up due to the huge cavity

- little on the heavy side and not sure I like the weight distribution (very personal)
