Nothing sticks out this week as an example. At times it is not fair that a pro gets an early or late time slot, even in the middle of the day you chance a bad score to bad weather.

Example : You shoot a 78 day one because of bad weather, or even just an unlucky time slot, just a bad round, day two, you shoot a 65 and miss the cut by 1. As of now it is OH well, tough luck.. Offer a once a year buy for all PGA players (excluding majors). Once a year you can buy back in for 25K to be donated...

It is a chance to add something exciting, new, etc... I would have to think the players would love the chance for a type of mulligan tournament.

I could see where someone could shoot a 79 and then a 62 and still miss the cut.... Would you not want to continue ? Would you pay for it ?

Thoughts ?

I think the top golfers already win a large enough share of the tournaments.$25K to rank #10 is not the same to rank #150.

A 'bye' would only reduce the visibility of top golfers who create fan interest and attract sponsor money.

Good for a topic of discussion, but it would give an unfair advantage to players of financial means.  One of the great things about golf is that we can't control the variables.  In most other sports, if not all, the rules are structured to eliminate variables or uncontrollables.  In golf some days  your the bug and some days your the windshield.

I think playing in the Thursday afternoon group gives an advantage for a couple of reasons.  Weather delays usually works in your favor.  You have an idea of the cut line in the round that has the freshest greens and usually the best weather.  If you miss the cut on Friday, you can skip town a day earlier and cut your expenses.

Nope. It would only benefit the more wealthy players. Plus it would put more players on the course, and increase the playing time on weekends.

I also think it would have an unfair impact on the rankings, and the fedex

If anything, I would like to see a second cut on Saturday. Plus if a player misses a cut, they would have to go through a Monday/Tuesday qualifier to play in the next tournament.

First - Only one a year,

Second - 25K is within reach of all the players on tour

This isn't something I offer to all players each and every week. Just a once a year chance if you so chose based on how you feel after your second round...

Just imagine shooting a 62 on Thursday, but terrible weather, or even food poisioning takes your second round high, real high and you miss the cut...

Certainly some problems with this idea, but if I were grading I would give you an "A" for thinking outside the box and bringing something to the table.......
