I saw what was happening at this tournament on twitter yesterday. I'm thinking I want to see Rory win, so I flip on the TV ... only to find it on a 4 hour tape delay. Golf Channel is showing Caddyshack. Seriously?

What are they supposed to do?

They have contracts. They have other things that they're supposed to show.

He is spending more time with his family.

I have a question about Rory and his putting.  An announcer said that Rory's coach did something to his grip.  It was an ambiguous statement for us anal golfers.  What I want to know is did they change the way that Rory holds the putter or did they actually make a small change to the grip on the putter.

Rory mentioned holding it more in the fingers than he did before.

I'd say Golf Channel could bump Caddyshack pretty easily. Or the PGA Tour could offer a free streaming option in situations like this.

Thanks.  What ever he did, made a dramatic improvement in results.  Any other sport he would be accused of "juicing"

Yeah that was pretty dramatic. He said he revamped grip, stroke, and green reading. The adjustments may have been a 'perfect fit' for the greens on this particular course. We'll see if it continues through the playoffs.

Golf Channel is part of NBC. So they'd be usurping the main NBC coverage later on that day.

I get that we'd all like to see live golf, but… it's often just not possible when the schedule changes and TV coverage contracts don't permit it.

Guess that I'm an anomaly.  I most often record golf.  One can watch the entire broadcast minus commercials.  Also any interruptions at home don't interfere.  Once the leaders get on the back nine on Sunday, the broadcast is about half commercials as there aren't very many groups of interest on the course.
