He's on pace for 850 rounds!  And he's walking and carry his clubs!  Crazy.  It says he was doing 3 rounds a day in Texas in the winter, but only 2 in Connecticut in the summer.

I love golf, but not THAT much.

Agree.  I have to believe he may be missing the original point of playing golf; it is fun, challenging, etc... All his focus is on the record as opposed to golf, the game & activity. Somewhere along the line another person is going to break his record and all he will have is a pile of rounds played at the same effing golf course.

I was reading thinking that, oh this isn't bad, I could go round a empty course 3+ times in a day no problem for a while.  But then I saw that he had to walk and carry his clubs.... Nope!  Kudos to that for sure! It seems crazy though to have gone through 11 pairs of shoes.  That seems a bit excessive.

I looked up his GHIN handicap (based in TX).  He is a player with a low single digit.  Also, he really does play EVERY EFFING ROUND at Ridgefield.  I would get so stale playing the same course, same tee, twice a day, every day for 8 months.
