Aren't they supposed to be known for hybrids and  Best in the business?  Would you rather have a 2012/2013 expensive brand hybrid or 2015/2016 Cheaper hybrid?

And the 5 wood is cheap to as this came up recently in another thread about alternates to the driver.

It looks like Adams became part of Taylor Made. Maybe they've decided that Adam will be the discount model?

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

Questions on Adams' status came up last spring at St. Louis Golf Expo.

I talked to a TaylorMade rep, and he said TM was going to produce for competitive golfers (pro and serious am), and Adams for the recreational golfer.

Next question: will Adams survive if TM is sold?

I believe they are being sold separately by Adidas though I'm sure someone could get a package deal if they wanted both.

Supporting many sub-brands gets expensive. Maybe not.

Adams was supposedly acquired by TM to avoid costly litigation fees and settlement.  I read TM determined it would be cheaper to buy Adams than fight the battle in court (that they knew they'd lose) over the Speed Slot.

Adams has been known for its hybrids in recent years even though as was pointed in another thread, they (hybrids), have been around for some time. As for pricing, I note the average price for Adams seems to be in the $40 - $65 range with some upwards to $150. TM M-1 is up there somewhere above $200 I think.  I paid $200 for the Orlimar Black for probably the wrong reasons some might suggest. Mostly, I have always liked Jesse Ortiz's work, then the shape is pleasing to me and they look nothing like the typical hybrid, but to me resemble high  lofted fairway woods.  Mine seems to have some forgiveness built in, but I am a little dissappointed in that the distance does not seem as advertised, but that may improve in time as I get used to it. Control comes easier, and feels natural to me.

I was shocked to see the Adam's Red Hybrid with the Matrix shaft being discounted so heavily. I went to the Adam's site to see their newest offerings and was really disappointed to see how the marketing suggests a second tier company. Adam's seems to be a victim here and was once the #1 hybrid in golf. I don't see the logic in the strategy in purposely doing this to a once reputable line.

Sounds like what happened to Nickent circa 2007. Nickent was a full line company big on hybrids, but the company faded away, only to return as a Galaxy/Dick's store brand.

As of 2014, Nickent focused on the F30.Ti hybrids and FWs. But, I haven't seen any N stuff this year at Galaxy, and N no longer appears as a brand on the Galaxy web site.

One factor for Adams is both it and Nike are up for grabs at the same time. With Adams and Nike floating around as possible secondary brands, I don't know if both will survive making golf clubs.

I imagine the hands holding the club while it is pointed up and behind me at my right shoulder.  4. Torso (belly) and hips stay facing forward.  Downswing 1. Mostly just straightening in combination with arms down behind me. I know my knees are bent, but it doesn't feel like much. It doesn't feel explosive because I am not going from a deeper squat.  2.
