nobody?....

Well, to be honest…

  • The videos are pretty small. The camera is far from you and you're very small in them. They're not on the best lines, either: https://thesandtrap.com/b/playing_tips/filming_your_swing.
  • You've got three posts here and they're all in this thread. Post elsewhere and more people will be willing to help and share their insights.

I'm happy to help when I have the time, but… the videos honestly make it difficult.

This may be of some help:

thanks for the help bud

His name is Erik and he's a great guy.

As Erik mentioned, a better video will help members view and offer suggestions.

Also, try to avoid shadows in vid's.

Your swing look fairly sound, but it appears you hang back a tad through impact.

A better weight transfer to your left side should correct the Push and try flaring your feet out in your stance.

I'm also seeing something funky going on just before impact.

It looks like you slap your right hand at the ball in an effort to correct squaring of the club.

I like the power your able to generate through your swing, post a better video and you'll get replies.

Im still workin on a video but heres a swing sequence image i tried to piece together then i put some fx on it to help make it blend.. Let me know if you see something out of place

Finally... Heres a better video

You didn't hit that one very well, eh? Is it even teed up?

Hey, how about posting elsewhere here, too…?

Elbow looks a bit better. It's good to have DL and FO video from the same range session.

Yeah its teed up but just barely.. Na i hit it like shat.. But i only had 30 mins on my lunch break to hit a few for the vid and that ground was rock ass hard so i broke my tee off but managed to get it to hold briefly

And the wind was rippin like a mother

Not sure whats causing it but if you pause both the FO/DTL videos of your swing at impact position your right foot is way up on the toes and starting to point towards target, could be your weight falling backwards?

If you look at swings of the pro's generally their back foot comes up coming into impact but not to the extent of yours

I cant find the exact thread now but one of the  tips i think it was is to bank the right foot into impact to help you get your weight shifting correctly and stop your hips just spinning out (which looking at your transition in the downswing looks like what is also happening)

Ok... My hips spinning out throwing me on an out to in path correct? I had a feeling this was a problem but my brother in law kept telling me, "man you need to turn your hips more." i look at the videos and think.. Really? Cuz it looks like everything is way behind my hips

it will do both, it will cause you when not timed correctly to come OTT and with a closed face cause the pull hook, or get stuck behind you on an in to out path with the face open causing the push slice.

both could be solved by getting more weight forward more effectively in the downswing,

When i pull hook i spin out the hips, weight goes backwards but my syncronisation of the upper body is fine,

When i push slice I spin out the hips, weight goes backwards but my sync is behind of the upper body

Those are word for word the exact two bad shots i have at the moment.. Pull hook and a push slice.. Its driving me crazy.. Im gonna focus on getting my weight posted into my left leg better

Here is a good post in this thread, relates to lower body (hips) in your case.

Also there is a good thread for a drill on weight transfer or weight forward which @mvmac posted.
I somewhat recall the drill is to use very slow motion movements, with timing being a key element of proper positions.
I'll post it once I locate it.

Still try to post better videos, better light conditions. A shadow of a body is bad.

    • 70 today. The number looks good but, the course is a par 67 (5,110 yards, 64.3/115.). While the 70 took quite a few good shots to achieve, I am not counting that as shooting my age.
    • Played our town’s executive course this morning. Everything is closing but for now Huron Hills remains open. #13 is shaped like an upside down backwards L (dogleg left). Only 231 yard par 4. Dogleg has a tree guarding the corner and a sand bunker guards the green for those cutting the dogleg. Tiny green. About 10 years ago or more I would try to cut the dogleg. The hole is so short that even if one tangled with the tree or was bunkered, par was likely and birdie was still on the table. Now in my 70’s, I just hit it straight and try to wedge it close for birdie. Today I screwed up and pulled my drive. I wandered around a bit when my ball was not in the bunker. Finally located it on the approach to the green. Almost chipped in and tapped in the 2 inches for birdie. Best unintentional shot of the week. 😲

    • Why wouldn't it have? It's not like you were playing it as a 145yd par 5 and made a 2 or something.  Or not like it was playing 50yds to a temporary green or something either.
