So after many years of working to eliminate my block/block slice I improved my arm/torso connection and co-ordination which has all but eliminated this,.............after some time though this has developed into a pull with my irons and a pull/pull hook with my driver/woods, I deduced this was because i was spinning my hips statically due to my old push slice issues, so my next piece of work has been getting the hips moving forward as well as rotating.

From the range last night my Driver was awesome, a bag of draws/straights/fades/very small blocks/ very small pulls, my 3 wood much the same,....and i dont think ive hit them as far for some while now, i was carrying the 250yard range and i know they use 80% golf balls that are beat to hell so i fully expect im around 270/280 real world

but my irons, this was a very mixed bag indeed, from PW up to 3 Iron I either pulled it, thinned it, or blocked it so bad it was nearly a s***k, only say 1 in 10 did i really get a good compression and shot result, my 5 iron i hit a couple of times out near the 200 yard marker, but doing that 1 out of 10 shouts is gunna be lousy on course

Appreciate I didnt get to video my swing last night, and before i go running off reading lots of articles on why this is an issue, has anyone any ideas? I'm maintaining my connection reasonably well, was paying alot of attention to my setup and alignment, was trying to get my hips firing forwards to stop the pull/pull hooks, im just at a loss really

any ideas?

A hunch, of sorts… your head drops back a bit and you're shortening the radius to avoid crashing the ball into the ground.

Get some good video soon. Because a hunch is otherwise the best you'll get…

Do you mean drops further away from the ball i.e standing up, or further away from target?

Away from the target, but again… a hunch. Would really love to see some video.

You don't have a Member Swing thread, with over 600 posts here. That's unusual… you should start one. :-)

Try to get at least one of both views, ideally maybe with a 6-iron.

It's best to start a Member Swing thread, IMO.
