i'm already going the reshafting route. the Speeder shaft it came with it is a "stiff", but i wouldn't call it stiff myself. not to mention the low kick point on the shaft,which launches the ball too high. i can see it for myself when i bend it by hand,it bends almost at the lower 1/4 of the shaft.

When properly fitted there is very little difference in distance with most modern drivers. Both have received glowing reviews. Ultimately you'll have to decide by hitting them both and picking the one that fits your eyes, ears, and fairways best. I'd play either.

played my first round with the new driver today. i couldn't be more happier with the performance of it. long,wow. came up 15 yards short on a 320yd par 4. smacked it down the fairways. averaged 270 easily. and the clanging noise this thing makes,haha, scared a flock of ducks out of pond. it has so much more "feel" than my old Nike. and to top it off, shot an 84. i only wish that the golf course i played on was mapped out for my GPS because i misjudged the distance on a few approaches.

I switched to the SuperQuad from the Nike SQ last year and I love it! I actually own two (8.5 and 10.5). I purchased the 8.5 last after a fitting on TM's MATT system. I decided to keep the 10.5 just as a backup (for tournaments)

The last favorite driver I had was the old TM Firesole, but when I snapped the shaft at the hosel the search began for a new favorite. The search has finally ended after about 6 years of searching!

The SuperQuad to me is just solid. I haven't really played much with the weights as I would rather shape shots naturally as opposed to "mechanically".

Superquad is the way to go. Easily the best driver on the market. I love it. I have seen my drives go up 10-15 yards in the past year. Also i used to play a high fade now i hit a big draw with this club. AWSOME club.

bump...reading through this thread, it's apparent that most people feel like the FT-i is more forgiving (ie - ball goes straight) but the Superquad is longer.

I was wondering if anybody has any remarks about the FT-i tour . Is it more workable? Difference is distance? Anything? Thanks!

I just spent 3 hours at Callaway's test center here in So Cal and hit everything they could put in my hands. The FTI Tour was incredible. It had the Diamana shaft in it so all told its about a 6 hundred dollar club. I have paid less for cars in my life. I did however order one as my buddy who has connections got it for me for the same price I paid for my last driver.

From trying the FT-I, I'd call it a 'safe' club. Easy to hit & to hit straight. I went with the Superquad, as it was cheaper, hits longer and is still an accurate club. When I cure my slice, I can take it off the draw weighting and set it to neutral to make it workable.

The Superquad is part of my long range plan

I'm definitely hitting more fairways with it versus my 905R, and a good 15+ yards longer too.
