How about Colin? He dropped off the face of the earth after his divorce and he's alone in second four strokes behind Tiga. I'm impressed. Hope he can keep up the good play.

I know I will be pulling for Monty 110%. I know he has taken a lot of criticism over the years, but I have wanted him to win a major since I started watching in 1996. He has come so close so many times, and it would be one of the best stories in golf history if he won at St. Andrews.

It will be near impossible to stop Tiger this week, but I'm hoping Monty wins the Claret Jug..

How did he qualify to play in the British Open this year? Is it still largely because of the cheating incident?

If so, it would be one of the WORST things in his career - to win his only major by cheating to get into the field. He won't win. He's facing Tiger. That's that.

Yeah, I didn't think of that. I'm not sure if he would have been in the field or not. He is ranked 40th now, so I'm not sure what the cutoff is for the British Open qualifying.

I still think he is a great golfer regardless of what happened with that incident. And he belongs in the British Open without a doubt. So if he won, it would still be great as far as I'm concerned.

I think people need to leave that incident alone, I get tired of people looking at the past so much.

You can't tell me he isn't one of the top 150 golfers in the world and don't deserve to be playing at St. Andrews.

By the way, I'm hoping Tiger keeps on slipping down. He is +1 after a couple holes, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings to have a close bunch of players at the top of the leaderboard going into Sunday.

Nothing against Colin but I hope he folds like a cheap suit.
