Hi people
Please help. Been playing golf for about 8 months and could really do with some advice regarding my swing. My shots tend to pull and my divots point to the left. I tend to hit a lot of fat shots. Any advice would be great...Thanks in advance. SEE VIDEO BELOW.

Sorry newbie see above.

The first thing I see is you are swaying back during the backswing. This makes it harder to get your weight forward enough to make good contact consistently. Look at the thread below and work on making a centered hip turn.

A DL(down the line) video would also help as well.

Check out this great article on filming your swing. https://thesandtrap.com/b/playing_tips/filming_your_swing

Here is what you look like at the top, boogielicious pointed out that you where swaying as you can see in the pic below. Your head also moves back and down quit a bit.

Hear are a couple of videos to check out.

Happy New year everyone....finally got round to filming a dtl video. Still struggling so anymore help would be greatly appreciated.

I would watch your set up. Less arch in your lower back and having a more rounded upper back with your head down more would help. Look at Rory on the right compared to you on the left.

Setup.jpg

Your back knee doesn't lose any of its flex.

Again you versus Rory here. Rory has lost knee flex compared to set up. You have maintained it.

One of the things i noticed in the first video was the collapsing left arm at the top of the back swing. This is losing you a lot of power when you do this. Try to progressively move to a deeper swing while keeping a straighter left arm when going back and dont let it collapse at any point in the swing. ( a little bit of collapse is okay, but to get the feeling i would exaggerate it for a while in practice)

Also i would say that in the transition, it looks more like you are trying to "pull something off your back" to start the downswing, but you really should try to get as much width as possible, it realtes to the collapsing arms as well, but focus on width throughout the swing.
