Created this drill/game that includes what i think it´s important to practice:

- Short putts
- Long putts
- Every putt counts = pressure

It´s a level game where you have to acomplish and objetive to level up, if not you have to acomplish a secondary objective to keep the level, if not level down.

The game/drill it´s as follows. Let´s say our level 1 it´s 5 yardas = 15 feet. So we pick a hole from the putting green and place a ball 15 feet away with the break you want (uphill, downhill, left-right, rigth-left).
Our first objective it´s to hole the putt for birdie, if we do we move to level 2 : 6 yards = 18 feet. If not, our secondary objective it´s to hole the remaining putt to save par but not just one time but 4 times from the same distance and 4 differents angles (If first putt ends 2 feet and in it´s a gimmy so we keep our level, we dont have to putt to save par). If we sink all of them we keep our level if not level down. After that you pick a new hole with a different break from the last hole played and place the ball away from that hole according to your current level.

Example:

- 1st Hole, Level 1, 15 feet: Sink the 1st putt! Level UP !
- 2nd Hole, Level 2, 18 feet: Miss 1st putt, leave it 2 feet from the cup. Take gimmie, keep level.
- 3rd Hole, Level 2, 18 feet: Miss 1st putt, leave it 4 feet from the cup. Put down 3 more balls around the hole at 4 feet. Sink all of them, keep level.
- 4th Hole, Level 2, 18 feet: Miss 1st putt, leave it 3 feet from the cup. Put down 3 more balls around the hole at 3 feet. Miss one, level down.
- 5th Hole, Level 1, 15 feet; ....

The objective of the drill/game it´s to level up as far as you can from the hole and make a personal record to beat the next time.

What i like about it:
- practice long putts with pressure, your goal it´s to sink the putt to level up but if you can´t you need to keep the ball close to the hole to avoid 3 putting one of the 4 remaining balls to keep level. So you´d better read the line and figure out ok the speed, you just have one oportunity like on the golf course.
- practice short putts with pressure, you have to sink every one of them if you want to keep the level. It is even harder than on the course where you only have to sink only one. Besides you have to read all of the 4 breaks to sink them. Miss one and you are done, every putt counts !

Finally you can alter the conditions of the game/drill. Level 1 for beginners could be just 6 feet to begin with or 30 feet for a touring pro. The amount of short par putts to sink to keep level could be as much as you like.. from even 1 to 10.

Hope this game/drill makes someones putting practice more entertained and efficient.

Happy 2017 !
