Good evening all. I am new to the forum and the golf world. I have started playing golf as many of my co-workers play and it is a way to have some fun outside of work. I find the challenge to be awesome and I strive to be the best golfer I can become. Being able to shoot consistent 80s is the goal now and constantly working towards lowering my scores. Looking forward to interacting with everyone here.

Welcome to golf and this forum. This is a good place to do lots of things: commiserate with other golfers, learn new techniques, discover how to practice and document your progress. Just some examples:

Theres a daily practice thread also where you might consider logging what you do each day (only needs to be 5 min).  Theory being that improvement comes from consistent small amounts of focus- not sporadic long sessions.

Another good thread is the "bogey golfer only" one. Lots of us trying to get to the point where "bogey golfer" no longer is accurate.

And here's a guy trying to reduce his handicap under 20:

Last but not least, you can't go wrong diving into the links here:

Just some ideas on threads to jump in on. See you around.
