Has anybody here updated their clubs after having Game Golf going for long enough on their old clubs to have a valid comparison?

Not yet.  And maybe not for a while.  But a few things have been on my mind that might provide data in the future for you.

-- I am swapping out my SGI 4-iron for a 4-hybrid soon.

-- I am debating putting my Nike VR PW back into my bag in place of my with-my-irons PW to see if I prefer a wedge-style PW over an irons-style one.

If I do either, and there's some data, I'll stop back at this thread and update.

Is that the sort of thing you were asking if others had?

What I am interested in is hard data that show that new clubs are worth it.  Or, which do people think is worth more to a game, new clubs, or better data. I am leaning toward better data.

I suspect better data is better for your game than new clubs.  There are some exceptions, such as if your clubs are poorly fit for you, or you are missing irons 5-8 inclusive, or if you've been putting with a 7-wood.

What's the story with the clubs you use?

I just feel like the grooves are kinda worn. They are hand-me-downs. I can afford both the game golf, and the new clubs, but I am thinking of going with the game golf first out of intellectual curiosity. I was hoping more people here had data.

I actually had three sets of tags for a while and switched clubs as I felt like it. Kind of PITA if you forget to edit "the bag" but I did it to make a comparison. What I learned was different clubs didn't change my numbers much and the irons and hybrids were different lofts. My last full season using GG I used four different drivers, one was a 280cc 12.5 degree club, and at years end the averages were a mere 4 yards different.

GG helped me understand my abilities. Different clubs did little. Neither made me practice more than I had time for.
