Every week have one position open for a star. It isn't the big show, so who cares. Number one women player, Steph Curry, Tom Brady, etc

Nah. I would rather have really, really good golfers on the Web.com tour. The occasional Curry is OK.

They're free to if they want. Most don't want to.

At first, the idea appears to have some merit.  Shake things up, bring a bit of attention to the developmental tour, etc...  Then reality sets in.  There are not that many celebrities with enough game to stay with these guys.  As @iacas said, no one is stopping this from occurring, there are just very few celebs who actually are willing to risk looking bad hacking it around with the pros.  This is not a Pro/Am where the Am tees off from the forward tee or picks up when they are out of the hole.  Very few celebs, or even people in general, want to display rank ineptitude in public.

This.

It's called a sponsor's exemption.  "They" being the sponsor.  They can use it however they like.  The "tour" has no input.

Time Tebow is actually pretty ok at baseball. I would say he's better at baseball than Curry, at least from what I read about Curry and his golf game. I've read a HI of +6 to +8 is moreso something he would need to carry to do better in this tourney.

I really dont mind these cross-sport promotions. Not sure how often I would want them to happen.

Most PGA Tour pros aren't sniffing +8. That's other-world level good. Tiger Prime good.
