Planning a golf trip and we have a variety of HDCP, we are playing 4 rounds and the groups change each day.  Does anyone have a suggestion on how to use each person hdcp to make it more even.  The hdcp's are -2, 5, 10, 10, 12, 12, 12, 18

Technically what you want is their handicap index. That will allow you to determine the course handicap for them regardless of the set of tees they're playing.

Beyond that, what are the specifics? Are you playing team events, scrambles, etc.? Because otherwise, if it's just a bunch of singles scores… just give everyone their handicap.

Thank you, yes we will be playing team events for two of the rounds and the singles match play for the other two.  The two team events will be 2 man best ball.  Each round you will have a different partner and be playing a different pairing.

For 4-ball stroke play (the technical term for better ball of partners) the USGA recommends using 90% of each player's course handicap.  If a team has more than an 8-stroke difference between the partners' handicaps, they suggest that those handicaps be reduced by an additional 10%.   If you're playing fourball matches, the USGA suggests that strokes be allocated off the low-handicap, using no reduction.

Just play 90% of the handicap for the 4bbb matches and full handicap for the singles. No need to make it more complicated than it needs to be.

I think sometimes us golfers like to over think some thing's far too much eh? ??
