Maybe you are a genius inventor who will have the last laugh all the way to the bank.

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

really doubt that...hell, I don't even take myself seriously.  awhile back I suggested taking a round tinker toy, sticking dowels in it to have an variable direction alignment rod and wouldn't you know it, I spied it on Amazon two weeks later.

This is all good creative thinking that comes out of the world's toughest sport to master. The only problem is you won't get rich off of specialized golf equipment.

haha..doesn't stop some of the on line marketeers from trying......That is mostly why I try to come up with my home made attempts. Many of the things I see are going for $20 and much higher, for something that can be made for under $5.  If I were serious about it, I might entertain the idea of applying for patents, but I've neither time, money, or inclination to do so.  I sometimes share an idea with an on-line pro who I am in frequent contact with, and if he wanted to take the idea and go commercial with it, no problem and more power to him/her. A few of mine were very well received, others not so much and bordering on the ridiculous.

Standard Pool Noodles are 2 inches outside diameter not 3.5 inches (those are called Jumbo). Google it.

Uhhh… since you're gonna be a jerk about it…

3.25" - https://www.target.com/p/swimways-super-swim-noodles/-/A-14776418#lnk=sametab

2.5" - http://amzn.to/2guGxXv

2.25" - http://amzn.to/2ganvsb

Hell, Googling "diameter of standard pool noodle" says:

Quote

Pool noodles are useful when learning to swim, for floating, for rescue reaching, in various forms of water play, and for aquatic exercise. The most common dimensions are about 160 centimetres (63 in) in length and 7 centimetres (2.8 in) in diameter.

It links to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pool_noodle.

I found 4" pool noodles, 3.5" noodles, and just about every size in between 1.5" and 5". So what's that say? That pool noodles don't really have a "standard" size.

I said 3.5" because that's the first one I found, and what we have downtown for our instruction.

Not much larger (if at all) than Putter Fat Grips

The SuperStroke "Fatso 5.0" is 1.67". 2.8" is quite a bit thicker than 1.67".

Decide for yourself whether the application is for you, if not, then don't. Otherwise, maybe divert your attention on whether or not to drape a towel across your golf bag, all the while describing the dimensions, thread quality, nap, and important stuff like that.

Meanwhile, wait breathlessly for my latest nonsensical, incarnation deserving of your meticulous scrutiny.

Post stupid stuff, get replies telling you it's stupid.

Mostly I tend to ignore your stupid stuff. Nobody's going to ****ing put a pool noodle over their grip. This "application" is not for anyone.

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
