So,  we have all made mistakes in our own golf swing development.  Maybe we could have a thread of hard drive dumping some concepts or actual physical mistakes we have made.

I had a reverse pivot about ten years ago,  My mistake was trying to turn as far as possible even if it meant disrupting my tilt.  I almost lost sight of the ball completely at the top on driver!  No good when you can see the clubhead at the top better than the ball.

I had a pro try to teach me shifting weight into the right side thanks now I was swaying.  Lol  actually hit driver well but could never hit greens.

I got into connection and totally over cooked  that one.  Kinda worked but not really.

Hold the club like a baby bird....Sprayed the ball everywhere...These are just off the top of my head haha...

Go ahead dump that old bad thinking...

Man, I don't know where to begin? So many of them, and I'm still making mistakes.

I did something a little different when I started golfing.

Since I knew, at the beginning,  I was going to make swing mistakes, which were going to cause poor shots, I started reading up on what the various causes of those erratic ball flights, and/or poor shots were.

I figured if I had an understanding why I would hit poor shots, (the cause and effect) I would also know where to look for the fix, and how to apply it. This helped immensely when something went wrong on the course. The knowlege allowed me stop the damage to my score quicker. I even started keeping a reference note book in my bag.
