I recently got a set of clubs from my father who receives them from my grandfather. I have no idea of who made them or how old they are. If there is anyone that can help me out by telling me or pointing me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. I can take and send any more pictures that are needed to help. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

It is hard to read but the name is Jimmy Demaret? Three time Masters champ and old buddy of Hogan's. Saw some stuff that suggested McGreggor (was made in my home town by the way) had models with his name on it.

Like to see if someone else knows more.

Demaret was partner with Burke,  owns of the Champions Golf Club in Texas.

Maybe this set of iron was a custom set from that golf club ?   Be interest if any marking for the grinder of the set of irons.  Some will have more value if grind by notable club grinders ( builders ).  Set itself looked similar to some old McGreggor irons.

A site on MacGregor Golf Clubs  identifies Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson and Jimmy Demaret as three young tour pros that MacGregor signed in the late 1930s to promote and play their clubs.

Here are pictures of MacGregor Demaret irons (2-9) for sale on eBay for $39.95. I'm not sure if the OP's Champions irons are MacGregor.
