Putting the whip back into the steeper swing. Hands as high as possible at the top. Club path still looks reasonable. Simpler path seem s to be better. Just need to incorporate not hitting fat and not flipping at the end. Need to compress downward at the bottom of the swing.

This seems to be working out. I just have to keep myself from flipping at impact. That's possibly why I'm getting a launch angle of 26 degrees with my 9i.

Also working on a steeper path into impact by hitting my club simulator into a target on the ground.

I am coming down steeper so the club will hit the ground sooner. My focus position that worked with the shallower swing isn't going to work very well, duh. That was completely stupid. Using the targeting system to hone in on where I need to put my focus.

Going to take it to the range as soon as I get a little time away from all my family. All 6 kids (mine plus nieces and nephews) are going to Universal Studios, and that's when I plan my range practice.

Working on club simulator, and now the distance to target (sweet spot) measurement tool.

The first model looks huge, I'm going to shrink it down a bit. Put it on a regular shaft and the thing looks ridiculously big.

Printing a more compact model. The first one was also too heavy. It didn't allow a full speed swing, it only allowed a slower swing with some resistance. I'm putting together a "bottom detection" tool that I can take to the range with me to practice. Bringing an oscilloscope/laptop to the range is not very practical. This is going to tale a while, and I have high hopes for the Raspberry Pi platform.

Dec 23  Day 23   Spent 75 minutes on the putting green working with both Pelz Putting Tutor and Putter Clips, a Gate Drill and another couple drills working on swing mechanics.    Then went to the range for 2 hours of practice using the drills on motion and club awareness from "Train For Golf Like and Olympian."    Attached is a picture of the putting green yesterday when I was practicing.

Still practicing this. The club shaft direction is really much simpler to keep in line with the target. Building the range of motion and really pronating the lead wrist.

Smaller model is too light, but my son likes the feel.

Printing a larger one with the correct weigh and a larger resistance area.

Signals require too much gain. I'm going to have to chance the positions of the sensor so the gain can be lower to increase the BW so I can detect faster swings.

Today was kind of blah weather wise. So I did some slow arm swings in front of a mirror. Just trying to get to the point where I'm comfortable with my positions at the my main backswing checkpoints and especially my first move down.

Steeper gets a lot more spin and height. Still working on my focus point.

The larger model is much better. Adding stabilizing features be cause the walls are so thin the flex a little.

    • Went back and reviewed my rounds this year at my home course to fill out the spreadsheet. Realized I have made at least par on each hole but two that I have bogied. At my skill level, it gives me a new confidence that I can play each hole decently well and strong together a lower score. Great mental boost.
    • I'm at 330 I think. I have a spreadsheet with all of them in it. It helps having lived in two countries. 159 in the US and 136 in the UK. Then a handful in Europe and a few in other countries (Canada, Australia, Mexico).
    • First Birdie of the year at Links of Sandpiper in Lakeland Fl, 450ys Par 5, Pulled driver to left rough trying to cut corner, Left myself 194 in uphill, hit my 5 iron to 8 feet. Unfortunately greens were in terrible shape and it was a sliding right to left putt, hit a nasty piece of dead spot and hopped left for a missed eagle putt with a 6 inch tap in for bird.
    • Was Talking with a buddy last night and got to thinking how many different courses we have played and was a little underwhelmed at my count. I assumed I was around 100 give or take. After about an hour of racking my brain I realized Im right at or just above 60. There could be a few that I cant recall or don't have record of but overall felt like that was a decent number. 55 in Florida, 2 in Arizona, 1 in New Hampshire, 1 in Michigan, and 1 in Indiana.  Now a new goal of getting to that 100 courses. Plan is to get to 75 by end of year and have dates of courses already set to get me to 70 so 75 shouldn't be out of question.  Below is the list of courses:  State Courses AZ Phoenician AZ The Legacy FL Abbey Course at St. Leo FL Babe Zaharias FL Bardmoor FL Bent Tree FL Big Cypress Exec FL Big Cypress South FL Bloomingdale FL Bobcat Trail FL Champions Gate FL Chi Chi Rodriguez FL Clearwater Country Club FL Club Renaissance  FL Copperhead FL Countryway FL Cove Cay FL Cypress Creek FL Diamond Hill FL Falcons Fire FL Fox Hollow FL Freedom Fairways FL Greenfield Plantation FL Hawks Landing FL Heritage Harbour Bradenton FL Heritage Harbour Land o Lakes FL Heritage Isles FL Highlands Reserve FL lake Jovita North FL Lake Jovita South FL Lexington Oaks FL Links at Greenfield Plantation FL Links of Lake Bernadette FL Links of Sandpiper Lakeland FL Northdale FL Plantation Palms FL River Hills FL Rocky Point FL Rogers FL Saddlebrook- Plamer FL Saddlebrook- Saddlebrook FL Sandpiper Lakeland FL Sandpiper Suncity FL Scepter Golf Club Falcon FL Shalamar FL Seminole Lake Country Club FL Silver Dollar FL Silverado FL Streamsong Red FL Sugarmill Woods Cypress FL Sugarmill Woods Pine FL Summerfield FL Temple Terrace FL Waterlefe FL Wentworth FL Westchase FL World Woods Pine Barrons IN Rock Hollow MI Ravines NH Brookside
    • Shoot, forgot to post for day 20:  hit a couple of buckets at the range just focusing on form.     Day 21:  putting practice in the garage gaging my speed/distance.
