Day 130 (09 Sep 24) - At home, work in the backyard with the 6i and 8i into the net.  Left foot was tender so weight shift was off today - noticed the lack of solid contact on quite a few shots.  Still felt good to make some solid swings.

Day 9: 9/9/2014

I forgot to post yesterday. Even though I worked on my game.

Today, I got to the range and worked on hand path, start line and making sure to hold my finish. (Improves my balance.)
I played the random yardage game at the end of my session.

Much better today than the last range session.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 10: September 10, 2024;

I hit the range for a bit today on lunch. I spent time working on making a better turn. I also worked on flighting my wedges. I finished up by trying to hit 10 out of 10 drives into an imaginary fairway.

Day 262: 9/10/24

Great range session, my second after a lesson on Saturday. All my misses remained in front of me. Looking forward to playing in a tournament this weekend.

Day 132 (11 Sep 24) - played weekly nine hole round with my good friend, made it a 7 club challenge for me (D, 3h, 6i, 8i, Pw, 54 & Putter).  Had a blast thinking less about which club instead focused on shot placement t into the green or near it.  Found myself in between distances a couple of times, made for interesting club choices - still shot what I typically shot nine - a 42…btw Millie and I struggled with the greens - two 3 putts for bogie and a couple of tap in pars for bogie…could have easily been sub-40.

Day 10:

Went to the range on lunch today.

Only brought my driver. I worked on working the ball. I tried to hit high draws, low draws, high fades, low fades, and straight shots. I used the random choice wheel generator ap on my phone to pick which one to hit.

Did my best to bullseye "imaginary" fairways with every shot.

My high fade is pretty solid. My low draw isn't too bad. Low fades are coyote ugly and my high draw was either phenomenal or terrible. The terrible ones hooked around 45 degrees or more... no exaggeration.

Day 12: 9/12/2024

Been travelling around the great state of Ohio visiting customers today, so no range time for me.
So, I got in front of the mirror with some PVC pipe and worked on backswing for 5 minutes. Then switched to a 7 iron for 5 minutes. Then a driver for 5 minutes. Most of my focus was on keeping control of my right knee which for what ever reason likes to do it's own thing on the backswing. Yoda gave me a swing thought back about a year ago that I focused on during my backswings.

Day 133 (12 Sep 24) - Worked on chipping with the 54 and using the "battlechip" setup in the backyard.  While there are three "net" zones - largest being the hole, focus was to have the ball land on the face or just in front to release up and on.  Did get in some full swings with the irons working on tempo - hitting into the net.

    • The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  OP makes this statement "I now understand that standards are different on the "private course." But I'll take those lessons to the muni, too."  No, the standards are not different.  You, sir, seem to be just a bit hard headed and belligerent, even if you are college professor...which possibly explains a lot.   JMHO
    • Day 32: worked for about 10 minutes on my drill. Filmed it as well for a check in. I think it’s slightly better but still seeing some issues.
    • Day 44 (26 Dec 25)  -  played in the Friday men’s shootout with a twist - used the Toney Penna persimmons and MacGregor blades - had a blast playing these clubs.  They really help in zoning in on making solid ball contact.  Scoring was solid - had several looks at birdie and had a few par saves.  Overall a day of focused course management.
    • Day 2: 2025.12.27 Eighteen holes at Kauri Cliffs. Focusing on trying to keep flex in right leg during backswing.
