Day 10: 12/19/2024

Had another range session today bringing my new PPJ swing thought to the range. I'm hitting more and more good ones. Right now it's all block training so I get in some streaks where I'm getting the timing right and have several really good shots in a row. I realize I'll need to eventually work in some random training, but I'm not ready for that yet.

As of now, practice is a lot of fun, because I can see results and I feel like I'm making progress.

There will probably be very few range sessions over the next week or so. I plan to do a lot of mirror work and hit balls in the garage net.

Once again, I also visited the PGA super store and putted around with several putters. ... just for kicks.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 80 - 2024-12-19

Tested out the Garmin R50 for a little while. It seemed to give pretty good numbers.

Day 81 - 2024-12-20

Had 90 minutes between lessons, so I got some practice in. Backswing mostly. Picking the club up quickly.

Day 338 - Playing 18 tomorrow, so mostly just putting (setup and sweet-spot contact). Hopefully I'm a bit more dialed in on those easier putts.

Fay 231 (20 Dec 24) - Weekly Friday round with the men’s group.  We started on the back so we started with the two toughest holes on the back.  Shot 44 as wedge play saved me on a number of holes - consistently getting the ball within 15’ of the hole.  Front side was better with a 38 (3 bogies / 1 birdie) - again wedge play was key as I had confidence in the distance to be covered and the club chosen.

Day 156: went to the range for a bit. Worked on the backswing stuff. Results were mixed, but that’s okay.

    • They sent me the same head as I cracked. The Paradym 9 degree. But instead of just the head, they sent me a complete driver.  The guy said because it's not the current model they don't have any heads sitting in inventory, but they do have complete drivers. So, they sent me a complete driver and a UPS label. Then when I got it, I had the choice to keep the compete driver, and send my driver back to them, or swap out the shafts to keep my old shaft and send the new shaft and old head back to them in the same box. Just affix the UPS label and drop it off. Which is what I did.  All in all, the whole process took about 4 days. Which I thought was pretty good.  So, now I have a brand new head (still in the plastic) on my old shaft and with my old white Pure DTC Midsize grip and still have the Shotscope tag in it.  BTW - The new driver also came with a head cover. Which I sent back to them. But if I was hard up I probably could have kept the head cover and I doubt they would have said anything.
