"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge

Day 575 - 2026-04-29

Well, shit. (Not golf related.) Did some "expert witness" stuff today, and talked with some developers about a UI/UX thing for two hours. At various times throughout the day I grabbed the putter in my office and did some downswing work.

Day 32: mirror work tonight. Worked on wrist twist and forearm roll in the downswing.

Day 251 4-30

Worked on pelvis "going back" slightly in transition. Once i started getting some feel for it, added in wrist arching through. All done slower.

Day 576 - 2026-04-30

Put my playlist on and slowed down a little as things were meh. Mostly got to an exaggerated P6 and hit from there.

Day 52 (30 Apr 26) - Had planned a solo round, got invited to be part of trio that included a fmr mini tour pro.  Was fun playing back a set of tees and having to stay in my game plan. Both were very engaging and encouraging in the round.  A good day in working through and making smarter shot choices.

Day 22, April 30.  Getting ready to go for the weekend, so I didn't have a lot of time at home, but did find time to hit 18 balls in about as many minutes, focusing my rehearsals as per yesterday (backswing length and connection to trail leg)

Day 32: foam ball time this evening. Worked on slow swings, trying to do everything at once. Doing pretty good with it.

Day 577 - 2026-05-01

Work from home day, so, a lot of mirror work on breaks. Back of the club thrown down to the ground.

Day 252 5-1 

Getting chest with speed through downswing and arching wrist. Tonight I could see i wasn't flipping nearly as bad. Hit foam balls and recorded.

Day 53 (01 May 26) - Got in a few reps w/8i and hitting 50-60 yd pitches.  Kept swing abbreviated and focused on getting hips cleared for squared impact by exaggerating the rotation movements in pre-shot.

Day 33: a couple of sessions of mirror work today. Working on the same things: weight forward earlier and twist and roll.

Day 54 (2 May 26) - Much needed day of rain, so it was late in the day when I did get a few minutes of drill work w/Pw in back yard.  Today was about flighted bump and runs.

Day 578 - 2026-05-02

Worked after lessons with @DrizZzY supervising. A lot of "very light right hand pressure" types of swings. Good stuff.

Day 34: solid short game and range session this afternoon. Working on short game technique then just messing around with lies and distances. Went well. Then went to the range for about 40 minutes to see where the ball is going before a match tomorrow. It’s going left, but it’s more than playable. Finished up with the yardstick putting drill at night.

Day 253 5-2

Spent some time getting chest through with speed while arching wrist through swing. Swing was still short,slight pause at top. Foam balls.
