"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge

Day 47: A short little range session to get prepped for a tournament tomorrow. Just making sure I have feels ready to go. Contact was solid, maybe slightly towards the toe, but that's okay. Solid session. Make sure I am at the right side of greens, and I should be good.

Day 255 5-15

Keeping speed with chest drill, using alignment stick and holder, getting arms off body. Felt good today.

Worked on things while watching the PGA.

Day 66 (15 May 26) - Played in Friday men’s shootout - solid round of 81 (39/42) 7 of the 11 pars were up and down 1 putts (29 total).  Short game came to the rescue….

Day 48: played 18. Very bleh, but also still shot 82. Need to clean up tee shots and putting mostly.

Arms off body with keeping speed in chest. Recorded/foam balls.

Day 592 - 2026-05-16

Regrouped my clubs. All of them except the putter. Does that count? No? Good. Because I chipped a decent bit with a student earlier today.

Day 12, May 16.  Two dozen practice balls today;  19 with the 6-iron, five with the GW.  Same drill and emphasis as yesterday.

Day 67 (16 May 26) - abbreviated session w/Pw and hard foam balls, opted to work on setup for some light shot shaping (slight fade to slight draw).

Worked on better arm movement in downswing, keeping them more in front. Still getting arms off body.

Got some work in before lessons today. Not a lot.

Day 13, May 17.  After the PGA Championship today, I took some time in my practice room.  So far, I've hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron and another half-dozen with the UW.  Same focus as past days.  I plan to hit more but am posting this so I don't forget to log for the 5-minute challenge.

Day 68 (17 May 26) - grandson hit me up for some pitches and chips in the backyard after church today.  Worked on setup and swing speed thru the ball (not decelerating - but trusting the swing speed).

Day 49: a bit of mirror work and slow swings today. Cleaning up the grip and posture, and working on not straightening my trail leg in the backswing as much.

Day 14, May 18.  I had an actual dozen-ball practice session this morning before heading out for the day.  And by "heading out for the day," I mean I'm going to go play golf today.  But I did practice this morning beforehand (not just warm up).
