"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge

Day 61 (2 Nov 25) - Got in some mirror work this evening, ran out of daylight to do anything outside.  Actually it was a good session - focused grip pressure in the trail hand using trail arm only drill.

Day 80 11-2

Exaggerated getting to lead side. Starting to feel comfortable but needs more work. Hit foam balls. Recorded swings.

Day 398 - 2025-11-02

Woke up really early due to the DST shift. So, got to Golf Evolution, did some Skillest lessons, got some practice in before Junior Elite. Gonna be mostly backswing for a long time.

Day 65: range session today. About 30 minutes working on the driving range - 20 minutes of solid practice with filming on my drill swing. Looking better there. And then about 40 minutes at the short game area, working on hard shots. A lot better.

Day 58 (November 2).  Today was unexpectedly busy (as opposed to those days that are expectedly so), but I did take ten minutes this evening to hit a few balls indoors, same focus.  For better or worse, I'm not playing this week or likely next, so 😕 

Remember yesterday when I said I'd get the camera out today?  😕  I thought I'd have more time.

Day 62 (3 Nov 25) - weather eased, got in some fun drill work with the 7w and making dink and roll pitches - especially from under the tulip tree (only about 6’ of ground clearance height).  Key focus - keep it low enough to stay clear, but high enough to fly and roll out close to the target flag in the backyard.

Day 81 11-3

Took a small break from what ive been focusing most of my practices on. Tonight I worked on grip and setup. No balls hit.

Day 66: did a stack session. Worked a bit with drill swing feels during rest breaks.

Day 59 (November 3).  Another busy day, another carve-out for 10 minutes worth of swing practice.

(Y'know, when I put together a few busy days worth of carve-outs, I have actually had a lot more practice time than I thought I'd have any given day, which might be part of the point of this challenge)

Day 63 (4 Nov 25) - Easy day, full swings with 7w and hard foam balls.  Worked on setup and alignment…

Day 400 - 2025-11-04

Worked on my swing after doing a bunch of work to set up the "rentable" LMs. Foam balls, slow motion, mirrors (today)… etc.

Day 83 11-4

Adding more speed to swing, still using flow feeling and getting to lead side.

Day 60 (November 4).  This morning, before heading to work, I spent 20 minutes in my golf room hitting with a 6-iron.  I just neglected to post until tonight when I got home. 😕

Day 67: mirror work tonight. Worked on set up a bit, and then focused on backswing stuff - earlier hinge.

Day 64 (5 Nov 25) - Played the midweek shootout and had one of the best rounds in a while - a solid 80 (39 front /41 back) with 11 pars, 6 bogies and 1 dbl.  The dbl was due to a lost ball penalty on the last hole that I “almost” got up and down for bogie (2” short on the uphill putt into the wind). Big takeaway - stayed in the game all the way home (no mental checkouts today) working to have at least one putt for par on all the holes (got 17 out of 18).

Day 68: played 18. New course for me that was pretty tough. So pretty happy with something in the high 70s. Wasn’t really keeping score, but think I was around 77. Hit a lot of good shots, so pretty happy.

Day 84 11-5

Worked on sequencing backswing, over to lead side, downswing. Goal is to continue to add speed. Hit foam balls, maybe 50%

Day 401 - 2025-11-05

Got work in before and between lessons. Same as yesterday, basically. Backswing. Backswing. Backswing.
