Skill work today. Shaft and clubface awareness. Mostly 3/4 50% shots. Hit foam balls

Day 405 - 2025-11-09

Woke up early so instead of doing Skillest lessons before JEP, I did them after. I practiced before-hand.

Day 72: good range session today. Did a solid 20 minutes of my drills with filming. Then went and worked on short game for about 45 minutes.

Day 65, November 9.  Dedicated practice session this afternoon;  12 balls, but about 20 minutes.  Really focusing on not doing a long continuing backswing with my arms when my turn has stopped.

Day 3: 11/10/25

Chipping with combo length wedges. Really had to grip down. We will see if this experiment works when I can get back to the course.

Day 89 11-10

Tonights practice was flow drill with an emphasis on getting to the lead side. Sped up the swing/motion. Adding speed slowly as I get more comfortable.

Day 1 (10 Nov 25) - starting anew after a four day layoff (family trip to NE to see son and his family).  Picked up today with some easy swings with the 58° in the backyard - focused on getting back into setup process.

Day 2 (11 Nov 25) - First Happy Veteran’s Day to all who served.   Today was a very windy nine (winds at 15, gusting to 25) in high 30’s to 40’s temps.  Playing with grandson - experiencing Scottish style golf Eastern NC style.  Great session to work on tempo timing - verbalizing a 3:1 ratio using the phrase “tic-tok”, by going. T - I - C - Tok on the full swings, T - I - Tok on wedges//short irons  and of course Tik-Tok for putts.  This triggered better ball contact across the bag….

Day 90 11-11

"Skills" day. Club shaft and face control, basically just trying to hit some "good shots" with what I have. Did try to maintain good backswing movement and getting to lead side. Flow good, Rigid bad.

Day 74: played 18. Solid +4 that really should have been lower. Hit 11 greens, and only had 2 bad shots. Pretty pleased.

Eye appointment dilated the eyes, so I did some chipping work as everything just looked a little strange. 🙂 Had to record a video for a Skillest student anyway.

Day 4: 11/11/25

Indoor chipping and putting tonight. Trying to putt with different motion by rocking my shoulders. Always been a right arm putter but trying a different method to improve face angle.

Day 67 (November 11).  Despite today being a holiday, I only had the time for a set of ten balls (indoors, off a mat, into a net, 6-iron).  Granted, that's still being able to set aside 15-20 minutes, and yesterday's round reminded me why I need to trust what I am developing.

(I hit some very good shots yesterday and several that told me I was mid-swing-change)

Day 91 11-12

Worked on hip movement in backswing. Used mirror to check positions, no ball at first. After several rehearsals added foam ball.

Day 408 - 2025-11-12

Had time between lessons to get 20 minutes of swings in. Just backswings. Thumbs rotate a little to the right but mostly up.

      Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.

      Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.

      Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.

      Yes, but you don't live in the UK, so you have no idea what we think about it here. It's a very different mindset here, to demonstrate the fact you should consider 9 out of 10 games we play here are Stableford, whereas you you almost solely play medal. Neither is right or wrong, it's just different  I'm trying to avoid swearing here. Once again, and for the 1000th time, I understand the system, I just don't agree with it. Is there anything wrong with that? PS, I do not have the time or patience to post my results, especially as they prove nothing  That's because 99% of the posters are Yanks
