Day 47: 1/27/2027

Went to the range today to work on my priority piece. Overall, I felt good about the swing. I started with some block practice with the 6 iron. But then got in some random practice, hitting each club to specific targets.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Range day working with the 6 & 7 irons.  As we have grass and it’s been beat to death, I hit off short tee pegs.  Solid session with the irons - even if there were a few wonky hosel rockets with the 7 when I did not stay in the process.  Finished the session with some work with the driver, focused on setup and tempo.

Day 120 - 2025-01-28

Had an hour between lessons today, so, I got 40 minutes of work in. Every path was between 4° and 11° right. They should be when I'm exaggerating this transition/downswing piece.

Day 48: 1/28/2025

Trapped in meetings all day, and big old company dinner tonight. So, I took out the putting mirror and rolled some balls down the lines on the carpet in my hotel room. I brought the putting gates with me so I was able to use those as well.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 9 (29 Jan 25) - Weekly nine hole round today - as we play up a set of tees, only put seven clubs in the bag: driver, 3wHL, 6i, 8i, Pw, 54* and putter.  Was a good long game day, wedge work was off.  Neat thing seeing the green from non-typical approach distances.  Playing a ‘new to me course’ tomorrow…full bag will be in tow.

Day 49: 1/29/2025:
Last night in the hotel. So, I did more putting on the hotel room floor with the putting mirror and the lines on the carpet. Then I did some slow-mo swings with my 7 iron in front of the mirror for a while.

Day 121 - 2025-01-29

Got some swings in before lessons. Downswing stuff. Path back/behind. Partly hand path, partly forearm movement. "Loose" wrists allows for the release.

    • Day 27 (17 July 26) - Normally an 18 hole day, but due to commitments abbreviated the round to 9 holes (played the back nine at home course).  Had a solid session where even the worst miss (tee shot off 18) was fully playable.  Shot a solid 39 (6pars, 3bogies) - not dbls, no three putts - just boring golf.
    • Overall, well said. People have to be very careful in trying to describe very complex problem in simple terms. In this case, it is a clear fundamental misunderstanding of Newton's 1st and 3rd laws.  To clarify more on the misinterpretation of Newton's 1st law. The exact interpretation of Newton's 1st Law....  "Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a straight line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it" yea, a body will stay motionless unless a force acts upon it. An object will stay on its path of motion unless a force acts upon it.  I get it, complex physics problems are difficult. There is a lot of simplification done in most physics class when it is taught. A classic problem uses a frictionless surface. Projectile motion excludes drag and wind direction. Collisions are usually elastic. The golf swing is not a simple physics problem.  Yea, I think they got caught up the data on the graphs and are not truly understanding cause and effect.  If the golfer isn't first pushing into the ground, then the ground isn't going to push back.  The internal forces of the body create the motion, not the external forces from the ground. The ground isn't like what Psy uses to start his concert. 🤣 You probably need to be connected to the ground and have those GRF to help the body produce the motion you want. Your body has to move in the right way to produce the GRF which helps you move the body in the way you want. Body motion precedes the GRF.
